Excelsior UMC

Excelsior UMC discovered it was time to create a more open, flexible, accessible, and welcoming environment in their church facility. They partnered with Station 19 to create a plan to transform their building to help them make the most of their space. 

 

Updated finishes in the sanctuary included fresh paint and carpet, and new seating and chancel furniture. Their platform was redesigned to include an accessible ramp. The lobby area was opened up to create a more welcoming environment and new finishes and furniture offers spaces for people to stop and connect. They also updated their kitchen and coffee area to allow for increased hospitality.

 

The children’s area was expanded to accommodate more flexible usage throughout the week. A dedicated meeting and bible study area was created as well. The office spaces were reorganized to allow for increased flow and usage. 

 

Excelsior UMC now has the space to be able to focus on their community and surrounding neighborhood, greeting each person that walks through their doors with warm and welcoming hospitality.
