Oak Haven Church approached Station 19 with a need for quality education spaces, a stronger identity in their neighborhood, and the desire to create a more welcoming environment for those visiting their facility.

Oak Haven shares space with a pre-school, so the education spaces had to be flexible to accommodate both church use on Sundays and Wednesdays, as well as function for the daycare Monday to Friday. Station 19’s plan was to create a secure children’s area that allowed the church to use the main level with a kids’ worship area, church nursery, and a mom’s room. In the secure lower level, there are  three classrooms and includes a stairwell that provides access to the outside. The main and lower level are connected with a slide that allows kids to get to their classrooms in a safe and fun way after they’ve checked in.

The lobby was also expanded thanks to better use of classroom spaces and no addition was needed. Oak Haven now has fun and secure spaces that allow for the children’s ministry and preschool to work together seamlessly. Their new signage welcomes the neighborhood to their community and helps them solidify their presence in the area.
