St. Nicholas Catholic Church desired to create a more accessible worship space for their community. They partnered with Station 19 Architects to incorporate ADA-compliant accessibility while honoring the traditional and historical architecture of the existing building. Accessibility updates were made using traditional materials to compliment the historic aesthetics of the church.

Installation of a new lift and new entry at the parking lot level provides accessibility from the parking lot to the Main Sanctuary and Lower Fellowship Hall levels. A new canopy, accessible concrete walk, and parking stalls provide convenient and sheltered entry into the church from the parking lot. Updated interior and exterior and exterior LED lighting enhances the visibility of the new entry. 

The result is a more welcoming and inclusive space that allows everyone to participate in worship. With safe new entryways, a new lift, and secure hand rails, Station 19 helped St. Nicholas Catholic Church reach more people within their community.
