The Harbor Church had a cramped, 10-foot wide lobby that was dark and lackluster. They approached Station 19 Architects about creating a bigger, more welcoming space.

 

We were so excited to create a new, bright and welcoming lobby and gathering space.  The library and part of the admin offices were opened up to create a new lobby and cafe space including a modern and welcoming space that reflects the current ministry through the use of an exposed ceiling, cafe millwork, and elegant but durable materials. The old cry room was also opened up to create a cozy fireside room. 

 

Bright lighting as well as incorporating more natural light gave this welcome space a much-needed upgrade. We designed a new coffee bar with distressed metal panels and placed new cafe seating, inviting people to stay a little longer to connect and build community.
